Bad Bag?

Our 5 month old puppy has been eating this food for 2 months without issue. The day we started feeding him from this bag of food we purchased from Chewy, he threw up (which he has never done before), and started having constant diarrhea. The diarrhea lasted for a week, including middle of the night. He was not eating much and we were having to coax him to eat each meal, daily. We decided to buy another bag of this same food from a local store and he retuned to normal immediately. No other changes occurred during this time and he was not eating anything else other than the kibble.

Life saver

I had to take my frenchie to the vet several times due to his sensitive stomach and patches of hair falling out and he would be out on antibiotics until it cleared up again. I switched to this sensitive skin and stomach formula and after 6 days no more diarrhea and his hair is growing back. I am very happy with this product.

Must be a bad batch

My 2 year old golden retriever ate this as a pup for the first year of her life. I switched back to it as she is nursing her only litter of puppies currently and planned to eventually feed this to the puppies as well but, Momma got extremely sick off this batch. She had diarrhea and terrible gas then whined for an entire day after just 1 feeding. This is nothing to do with changing her food either as I had already switched her to a store brand puppy food with no aversive reaction and then to diamond puppy food with no aversive reaction. Something is wrong with this batch we will not be using it again or donating it. Such. Waste of money.

Not what we hoped

Our dog seems to be allergic to chicken so the vet recommended this brand/flavor for him. It has led to vomiting and diarrhea! So we aresearching for something thing else now. No condemnation of the brand/flavor as our son’s dog eats it, just not the solution for our pup.

still looking

First I would like to say… if you review any dog food it helps to say the breed. All puppies are different and eat different amounts of food and have different allergies. I have a 100lb 11 month old Dogo and have been searching for a food he craves. From 10 weeks to 9 months he ate anything you put in front of him. Now he only will eat slowly and sometimes throws his food up. Vet suggested giving him sensitive stomach food. He will eat it but still need to mix wet food with it. So far no throwing up. He does also get raw food along with it and will eat that no problem. I think he’s telling me something.

Don’t waste your money

I've been feeding my dog Purina Pro Plan for about four months due to her GI issues, hoping the sensitive stomach formula would alleviate her problems. However, a week ago, I had to take her to the vet because she developed a UTI and struvite crystals in her bladder. The vet and I decided it was best to switch her food. I had heard that Purina Pro Plan's adult formula was linked to UTIs and bladder issues in other dogs, but I hadn't found any complaints regarding the puppy formula. Despite my instincts suggesting a change, I hesitated, hoping to avoid these issues. Since switching her to a new brand, I've noticed significant improvements: she's more eager to eat, her GI health has improved beyond what it was on Pro Plan, and there have been no urinary issues. After moving away from Purina, my dog's health has markedly improved in multiple areas. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Purina Pro Plan, especially if you haven't tried it yet. It's clear to me that Purina needs to improve their formula and pay more attention to people speaking up about their concerns on how this food is hurting their dogs. Highly don’t recommend!!!!

Good for sensitive skin

We have a 9 month Boston terrier that we fed puppy chicken and rice. She smelled like a bag of Fritos. Even a week or so after a bath she would start to smell again. We decided to switch over to the Salmon flavor for sensitive skin. She has vastly improved over the last 2 months. No more frito smell, and a lot less scratching

usually we like this kibble, with exceptions…

This is the usual dog food we’ve been getting for our nine month old puppy but this order he’d been throwing up and basically refusing to eat the kibble even if we added broth or an egg to it. He ate it maybe five times and it produced vomiting each time. Likely a bad batch so we threw out the whole bag.

4 stars due to price. Newly adopted puppy from a shelter. She had very itchy skin and a lot of gas on another high end kibble. She has shown improvement on this and really enjoys it. Cleans her bowl and even wants more.

Vet Suggested For Our Puppy

We love this food that our Vet suggested for our puppy Hank. He’s been on this brand since he was 7 weeks old. He’s now 8 months old and has never had a food issue. He’s a healthy weight and has a beautiful coat.
